Clay insulating brick is widely used insulating products in various kinds of thermal equipment. Its mineral composition is similar to that of dense fireclay bricks. Usually used production methods of clay insulating bricks are combustion method, chemical method, foaming method, etc. Lighweight clay insulating brick have porous structure, good heat insulating property, low thermal conductivity, etc. The production process of clay insulating brick is batch material preparation, mixing, pressing or casting, drying and high temperature sintering.
Clay Insulating Brick Characteristics
1.Clay insulating bricks has high porosity, low bulk density, excellent heat insulating performance and thermal shock resistance, equipment heat loss is greatly decreased.
2.Clay insulating brick raw material is abundant, the price is low, with good economic effect.
3.Clay insulating brick has fairly good mechanical strength and light weight, so kilns or furnaces weight can be greatly reduced.

Usually used lightweight clay insulating brick have a bulk density between 0.75~1.20g/cm3, crushing strength between 2.0~5.9Mpa, thermal conductivity between 0.221~0.442W/(m·K) (1350℃). Lightweight clay insulating brick have a wide range of applications, they are mainly used as insulating lining of different kinds of industrial kilns and furnaces, where doesn’t contact with molten materials or gases corrosion. The max. working temperature of lightweight clay insulating bricks is 1200~1400℃.
