Lightweight mullite bricks for sale are premium insulating bricks which not only have low bulk density, but have good insulating effect. According to raw material types, lightweight mullite bricks are classified into lightweight sintered mullite bricks and lightweight fused mullite bricks.
Lightweight sintered mullite brick is produced by high alumina bauxite clinker, fireclay or green bauxite binder, organic composite material filling material and so on. Vacuum press molding method and high temperature sintering method are used for the production of sintered mullite insulating bricks.
Fused lightweight mullite bricks have larger crystalline grains than sintered lightweight mullite bricks, so their thermal shock resistance is also better than sintered lightweight mullite brick.
Lightweight Mullite Bricks Properties
- Low thermal conductivity, low thermal capacity;
- High purity, low impurity content;
- High refractoriness, can contact with flame directly;
- High strength, excellent thermal shock resistance.
